REMEMBERING FLINT CENTRAL

THE DOCUMENTARY

Flint Central High School
1876 - 2009

Contrary to popular belief, Flint Central High School's origins date back to 1876, when the first official building was established. It quickly gained a reputation as one of Michigan's finest high schools. As Flint grew, so did the demand for education. In response, a new building was constructed on Crapo Street in 1923, designed in a distinctive Gothic Revival style. The school became a central part of the community, known for its strong academic programs and vibrant arts scene.
